Cliff House – St Mawes
6 + 2
Description
This beautiful family home sleeps up to 8, with three generous bedrooms plus a playroom with a sofa bed, making it perfect for relaxed family holidays and multi-generational escapes. Inside, the interiors are cosy-chic and coastal, designed to feel both stylish and deeply comfortable — somewhere you can really exhale the moment you arrive.
Step outside and the magic continues. Cliff House boasts its own private beach, ancient private woodland with deer feeders and regular visits from deer quietly passing through the trees. Days begin with birdsong, end with sunsets over the water, and in between there’s nothing but space, calm and mesmerising sea views.
For total indulgence, unwind in the hot tub overlooking the sea, or retreat to the sauna after a long coastal walk — whatever the season, this is a house made for slowing down. Long, lazy lunches are made easy with the Big Green Egg BBQ, while private electric gates offer peace of mind and seclusion. There’s also private parking with an EV charger, perfect for effortless coastal escapes.
For those who like to stay active, Cliff House features a fully equipped gym with a running machine and multi-gym, while a Sonos sound system throughout the house sets the soundtrack to your stay — whether it’s slow mornings, beach days or sunset dinners. When it’s time to relax indoors, there’s a Smart TV with a PlayStation 5, ideal for cosy evenings in.
And then there’s St Mawes itself — one of Cornwall’s most charming seaside villages. Think pastel-coloured cottages, boutique shops, brilliant places to eat, sheltered beaches, and a wonderfully laid-back, maritime feel. Whether you’re hopping on the ferry, strolling the waterfront, or lingering over lunch by the harbour, St Mawes has a way of making time stretch just a little longer.
Cliff House isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to reconnect, recharge, and fall quietly in love with Cornwall.

Local Area
We’d love to share with you some of our favourite things to do locally, in the village and beyond… Some things that you won’t find in any tourist brochures!!
The village itself is a delight to explore, with narrow winding streets, whitewashed cottages adorned with flowers, and a vibrant waterfront where fishing boats, sailing yachts and ferries come and go. At its heart sits St Mawes Castle, one of the best-preserved Tudor coastal fortresses, offering sweeping views across the Carrick Roads and towards Falmouth.
St Mawes has a wonderful choice of eateries, from relaxed cafés and cosy pubs to fine dining restaurants overlooking the water. Seafood is a highlight here, with freshly landed crab, lobster and fish often taking centre stage on the menu. The village also has a handful of boutique shops and galleries, perfect for browsing during a leisurely afternoon.
The surrounding Roseland Peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering unspoilt countryside, hidden coves, and miles of scenic coastal paths. Guests can wander through charming nearby villages such as Portscatho and Veryan, relax on sandy beaches like Carne and Pendower, or explore the tranquil gardens at Trelissick and Lamorran. For a car-free adventure, the passenger ferry from St Mawes runs across the estuary to Falmouth, a lively maritime town known for its rich history, cultural events, and eclectic mix of shops and attractions.
Whether it’s peaceful walks along the South West Coast Path, days spent sailing or kayaking on calm waters, or evenings watching the sun set over the harbour with a glass of wine in hand, St Mawes offers an idyllic base for a Cornish holiday.
