Overview
The Farmhouse is a beautifully restored centuries-old Cornish longhouse, thoughtfully transformed into a spacious luxury retreat in the heart of the countryside. Once a traditional longhouse where animals were housed below to keep the farmers warm upstairs, it has evolved into an exceptional holiday home that perfectly blends historic character with modern comfort.
Surrounded by rolling countryside and just a handful of neighbouring properties on the former farm, The Farmhouse offers peace, privacy and stunning rural views, yet is conveniently located just a five-minute drive from Watergate Bay, Porth and Whipsiderry Beach. Newquay and Cornwall Airport are also within easy reach.
Outside, the large south-facing garden and patio provide the perfect setting for relaxation and entertaining. Guests can dine alfresco around the outdoor dining table, unwind on the comfortable lounge seating, enjoy a barbecue, or indulge in the luxury of the private hot tub and sauna while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The expansive lawn also offers plenty of space for children and dogs to play safely.
At the heart of the home is an impressive 50-foot open-plan living space, designed for memorable family gatherings and celebrations. The well-equipped kitchen features a double oven, five-ring induction hob and everything needed to cook for larger groups, while the generous dining and living areas make socialising effortless. A downstairs cloakroom and utility room with shower, washing machine and tumble dryer provide additional convenience.
For cosy evenings in, the separate cinema snug features two comfortable sofas and a large flatscreen TV with fibre broadband and full Sky package, creating the perfect spot for movie nights.
Large four-metre bi-fold doors open onto the garden and frame beautiful views across Porth Valley, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor living.
All five bedrooms benefit from luxurious en-suite bathrooms. The magnificent split-level master suite features a sumptuous freestanding copper bathtub perfectly positioned to enjoy views across the surrounding countryside. The remaining bedrooms include spacious double and twin rooms, all beautifully presented and generously proportioned, with ample space for travel cots if required.

Local Area
We’d love to share with you some of our favourite things to do locally, in the village and beyond… Some things that you won’t find in any tourist brochures!!
Porth is a charming coastal village just outside Newquay on Cornwall’s stunning north coast. Known for its golden sandy beach and sheltered bay, Porth offers a more peaceful alternative to the bustling town of Newquay while still being within easy reach of its attractions.
One of the biggest draws of Porth is its beautiful beach, which is perfect for families, sun-seekers, and watersports enthusiasts alike. With its gently sloping sands and calm waters, it’s ideal for swimming, paddling, and rock pooling at low tide. The beach is also home to Porth Island, a scenic headland accessible via a footbridge, offering breathtaking coastal views and a glimpse into Cornwall’s rich history with its ancient cliffside settlements.
Porth’s prime location makes it an excellent base for a staycation in Cornwall. It’s close to Newquay’s famous surf beaches, vibrant nightlife, and attractions like the Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo, yet it retains a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere. The South West Coast Path runs through Porth, making it a dream spot for walkers looking to explore dramatic clifftop scenery and hidden coves.
For food lovers, the area boasts fantastic beachfront cafés and pubs, serving fresh seafood and traditional Cornish cream teas with stunning sea views. Plus, with easy access to other top destinations like Watergate Bay, Padstow, and the Eden Project, Porth is the perfect place to experience Cornwall’s incredible coastline, culture, and cuisine—all while enjoying a restful seaside retreat.
