Carbis Bay is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft white sand, often compared to beaches found much further afield. Whether you’re spending your days swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, relaxing on the beach or enjoying long coastal walks, the bay offers something for everyone. The South West Coast Path passes nearby, offering spectacular walks towards St Ives in one direction and Hayle and Godrevy in the other.
One of Topaz’s greatest advantages is its proximity to the famous St Ives branch line railway. Widely regarded as one of the most scenic train journeys in Britain, the train takes just a few minutes to whisk you into the heart of St Ives, allowing you to explore its cobbled streets, independent boutiques, galleries, harbour-front restaurants and beautiful beaches without the hassle of parking. Guests can also visit the renowned Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, enjoy boat trips around the bay, or simply spend an afternoon browsing the town’s many artisan shops and cafés.
Inside, Topaz has been thoughtfully renovated to an exceptional standard, blending contemporary style with luxurious comfort. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the elegant furnishings to the beautifully finished bathrooms. Modern conveniences including washing and drying facilities, high-quality appliances and a feature electric fire ensure a comfortable stay throughout the year.
The apartment comfortably sleeps up to six guests across two beautifully appointed bedrooms and a versatile snug. Both bedrooms feature luxurious super king-size beds, with one capable of being configured as twin beds if required. The separate snug includes a sofa bed, providing additional sleeping space for children or extra guests.
At the heart of the apartment is the spacious living area and stunning conservatory dining room, where panoramic sea views provide a spectacular backdrop for every meal. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast as the sun rises over the bay or gathering for dinner after a day exploring Cornwall, the views are never far from sight.
Step outside onto the large private balcony and you’ll immediately understand why guests fall in love with Topaz. Overlooking the beach and sea, it’s the perfect place for morning coffee, afternoon sunbathing or evening drinks while watching the sunset. Keep your eyes on the water and you may even spot dolphins or seals passing through the bay below.
Although Topaz does not have allocated parking, visitor parking is available within the Compass Point development. Should these spaces be full, nearby public car parks can be used and parking fees will be reimbursed for your convenience.

Every guest can expect to find a luxury welcome hamper upon arrival, each property also provides fast Wi-Fi, high quality linen and towels, logs (where relevant), dishwasher tablets, tea towels and hand wash. Our minimum standards ensure you have everything you need for a memorable stay, but some properties may provide alternative or slightly varied items, so please request detailed information from our team before your stay, if still required.

Each of our property owners have a local manager and housekeeping team on hand to prepare and clean the property, whilst also being available to resolve any potential issues during your stay.
